The Dublin RAS solar pilot
A pilot for privately owned homes with a long-term Rental Accommodation Scheme tenant in Dublin, worth up to €9,000 for solar and battery.
Up to €9,000
For solar PV and battery on qualifying RAS properties.
Who it is for
This route is for privately owned properties with a long-term RAS tenant supported by one of the four Dublin local authorities: Dublin City, Fingal, South Dublin, or Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. The property owner may be eligible for up to €9,000 for solar PV and battery storage.
How to apply
First, contact your local authority housing or RAS team to confirm your tenancy and property fall within the pilot, and get a letter confirming the arrangement and your eligibility for the higher grant.
Then apply through the SEAI solar portal at mgen.seai.ie, providing the local authority's confirmation, and wait for the SEAI Grant Offer before work starts. We agree the system and battery with you first.
Good to know
Council-owned homes and ordinary HAP tenancies do not automatically qualify. A council tenant should ask the housing authority about solar upgrades, and a HAP landlord should not assume the RAS pilot applies.
We can install under this pilot once the council letter and SEAI offer are in place. Book a free consultation and we will agree the system and the paperwork with you.
We handle the grant, you keep the saving.
