Who we are

Bright Star Electric ("we", "us") is an Irish electrical contractor working nationwide. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you write in your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and arrange consultations, surveys or quotes, and nothing else.
• Phone and email: if you ring or email us, we keep normal business records of the correspondence.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your details with third parties for marketing.
• We don't send marketing emails or newsletters.

Cookies and analytics

We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool (Umami) that uses no cookies and stores its data on our own server. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies only if you allow it in the cookie notice. You can say no and the site works exactly the same. We never use your data for advertising and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, plus any period required for tax, warranty, and certification records.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at info@brightstarelectric.ie and we'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
