Enhanced solar grant

Enhanced solar grant for welfare-payment households

If the homeowner is personally receiving a qualifying social welfare payment, the solar grant steps up a long way, to as much as €9,000 including a battery.

Up to €9,000

Up to €8,400 for panels and €600 for a 5 kWh battery.

Enhanced grant by system size

The payment has to be in the name of the person applying, not another member of the household. The home still needs a valid MPRN and to have been built and occupied before 2025.
